Severe thunderstorms began to develop across the northern half of the NWS Billings Forecast Area late in the afternoon on June 28th. Several supercells and numerous other severe thunderstorms (mainly large hail producers) developed across the area on the evening of June 28th and continued into the early morning hours of June 29th.
