A tight surface pressure gradient caused strong winds to blow across northeast and east central Wisconsin. Sustained winds were mainly in the 25 to 35 mph range with some gusts over 45 mph. The strongest recorded gusts were at Sturgeon Bay (Door co.) 53 mph and Marinette (Marinette co.) 52 mph.
