Thunderstorms dumped two to locally four inches of rain on Lucas County during the afternoon and evening hours. Officially, 2.81 inches of rain was measured at Toledo Express Airport. A small creek on the west side of Toledo left its banks and flooded Cheltenham, Goddard and Ilger roads.

Thunderstorms dumped in excess of three inches of rain on Wood County during the afternoon and evening hours. An automated gage at Mary Jane Thurston State Park on the border between Henry and Wood Counties measured 3.27 inches of rain. Several roads in the county had to be closed because of rapid water rises and flooding.

A 58 mph thunderstorm gust was measured at the Lorain County Airport. Several trees were downed in Elyria, Avon and North Ridgeville. Two power poles were also snapped in North Ridgeville and a chimney was knocked off of a house in Elyria.

Thunderstorm winds leveled a large cinder block building in Canton. The building once housed an ice factory and was destroyed when all four exterior walls collapsed from the wind. Several trees were downed in both Massillon and Navarre. Other trees were knocked down in Marlboro, Jackson and Plain Townships.
