A cold and vigorous Pacific low pressure system brought heavy snow to the mountains of western Colorado. Snow accumulations of 10 to 14 inches were common, with a foot of new snow reported at the Steamboat Springs Ski Area, near Mesa Lakes Lodge on the Grand Mesa, and over Coal Bank Pass in the San Juan Mountains.

A cold and vigorous Pacific low pressure system brought heavy snow to the mountains of western Colorado. Snow accumulations of 10 to 14 inches were common, with a foot of new snow reported at the Steamboat Springs Ski Area, near Mesa Lakes Lodge on the Grand Mesa, and over Coal Bank Pass in the San Juan Mountains. In addition, 14 inches of new snow fell on Lizard Head Pass in the San Juan Mountains and at Beaver Creek Ski Area in the Central mountains.
