Heavy rain on the 28th produced flash flooding, mainly in eastern sections of Pittsylvania County.Flash flooding closed parts of routes in the following locations: Route 683 from 6 miles southeast of Gretna to 8 miles southeast of Gretna, Route 938 from 5 miles east-southeast of Gretna to 7 miles east-southeast of Gretna, Route 713 from 2.5 miles northeast of Keeling to 5.5 miles northeast of Keeling, Route 912 from 5.5 miles east of Keeling to 5.5 miles east-southeast of Keeling, Route 895 from 6 miles east of Chatham to 8 miles east of Chatham, Route 683 from Mount Airy to 5 miles south-southwest of Mount Airy, and Route 694 5 miles south of Chatham.
