A series of thunderstorms with torrential downpours caused urban and poor drainage flooding as well as flash flooding of smaller streams in lower Bucks County. Hardest hit was a band with radar estimated storm totals exceeding four inches from Southampton to Yardley.

A series of thunderstorms with torrential downpours caused urban and poor drainage flooding as well as flash flooding of smaller streams in lower Bucks County. Hardest hit was a band with radar estimated storm totals exceeding four inches from Southampton to Yardley. The rest of lower Bucks County (from Doylestown southeast) received between 2 and 4 inches. Several people had to be rescued from stranded cars. Heavy rain started falling just after Midnight EDT on the 14th and continued as a series of thunderstorms passed across the same areas until around 3 a.m. EDT. Storm totals included 4.85 inches in Southampton, 3.20 inches in Bensalem, 2.89 inches in Furlong, 2.45 inches in Doylestown and 2.10 inches in Neshaminy Falls. No serious injuries were reported.
