Damaging Wind in Louisiana, August 14, 1999
A severe thunderstorm moved into northwest Lake Pontchartrain between 1530 CST and 1600 CST. A 16 foot boat , with two adults and a child onboard, was overwhelmed by high wind and waves and was overturned or swamped around 1650CST.

A severe thunderstorm moved into northwest Lake Pontchartrain between 1530 CST and 1600 CST. A 16 foot boat , with two adults and a child onboard, was overwhelmed by high wind and waves and was overturned or swamped around 1650CST. One of the adults, a 37 year old man subsequently drowned.
