Tallahassee P.D. reported numerous downed trees and limbs, streets were blocked by fallen debris, and power lines were sparking citywide. Power outages affected nearly 15,000 customers. Lightning was blamed for three house fires in northeast Tallahassee, including one which was totally destroyed, and strikes knocked out the Tallahassee Police Department's communications and the Tallahassee Regional Airport runway lighting system. One vehicle was submerged by floodwaters at Franklin Blvd and Tennessee St. Approximately 100 booths sustained minor roof damage at the North Florida Fairgrounds and Flea Market.
