Isolated severe thunderstorms brought damaging wind and large hail to a few locations in the northwest and southern piedmont of North Carolina. Just north of Conover, it hailed for 15 minutes, with the largest hail falling near the end and badly denting a car.

Isolated severe thunderstorms brought damaging wind and large hail to a few locations in the northwest and southern piedmont of North Carolina. Just north of Conover, it hailed for 15 minutes, with the largest hail falling near the end and badly denting a car. Ten trees were blown down in southeast Union county. Trees were also blown down in Rowan county including 2 large trees which fell on a mobile home in the town of Cleveland.
