Rainfall of 6 to 8 inches fell over the northern half of Butler county from 5/31/99 into the early morning hours 6/1/99. This rainfall caused extensive flooding to county roads in the northern part of the county with 40 roads reported closed along Clear Creek from just east of highway 81 east toward the Octavia and Linwood areas.
