The drought continued across extreme northeast Kentucky. Some showers at the end of the month brought moisture to the top soil and crops. The total monthly rains were mostly 1.5 to 2.5 inches across the 4 counties. Charley of Lawrence County reported just an inch of rain for the entire month. The hottest weather was from the 6th through the 13th, peaking around 100 degrees on the 9th and 10th. On the 9th, Grayson and Ashland had 98 degrees. On the 10th, Ashland reached 100 degrees.
