July, 1821, at 08:00. On this date there was an earthquake which caused much damage in the villages of Camana, Ocana, Caraveli, Chuquibamba, and the Majes valley. There were 70 dead in Camana and Ocana, 60 in Chuquibamba, and 32 in Caraveli. The principal movement was felt in Lima. (reference #1111)
