September 8, 1337, in and around Huailai, Hebei Province, 40.4 N, 115.7 E, magnitude 6.5, intensity VIII.
Earth quaked at Huailai (former site), Xuanhua, Yanqing
and Shunyi. Official and civilian houses
were destroyed, people and domestic animals were
injured. Earthquakes continued till September
14.
Yongning Temple on liming Hill collapsed. Roof
beams and pillars of the Imperial Ancestral Temple
in Beijing broke, and walls of all the rooms were
damaged. Walls of the Shenyu Hall in Xihu Temple
fell.
