January 26, 1911, Yuxian, Hebei Province, 39.8 N, 114.5 E, magnitude 5.5, intensity VII.

The city walls fell more than 30 m in length. Many

shops and dwelling houses collapsed; and 5-6 two storeyed

buildings were tilted and damaged. Houses in Tucun and Nuanquan villages of Xinan Xiang were badly damaged, causing deaths and injuries. The shock was also felt in Tianjin, 230 km away. (reference #3939)
