The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Northern Kansas
  Central and southern Nebraska

* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 605 PM
  until 200 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80
    mph likely
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
    inches in diameter likely
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Clusters of thunderstorms are expected to move into
southern and western portions of the watch area in the next couple
hours, with upscale expansion into severe convective complex(es)
through the evening.  A tornado or two may occur in the southern and
western parts of the watch.  The bulk of the area will be under a
dominant threat for severe wind and large to locally very large
hail.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80
statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles south
southwest of Broken Bow NE to 25 miles north northeast of Manhattan

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
