...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN ORLEANS...
NORTHEASTERN GENESEE AND SOUTHWESTERN MONROE COUNTIES...

At 601 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Holley, or 7
miles southeast of Albion, moving east at 40 mph. Also, another 
thunderstorm was developing near Greece. 

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Rochester, Greece, Irondequoit, Chili, Brockport, Albion, Brighton,
Gates-North Gates, Henrietta, Spencerport, Byron, Scottsville,
Churchville, Holley, Riga, Clarendon, Rush, Bergen, Elba and Strong
Memorial Hospital.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 390 between exits 11 and 12.
 Interstate 90 between exits 47 and 46.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

these storms pass through.
