The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Fremont County in central Colorado...
  Northern Custer County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 715 PM MDT.

* At 520 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding off 
  the Hayden Pass burn scar in the warned area. Up to two inches of 
  rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to continue 
  until the water has a chance to recede.  

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Hayden Pass Burn Scar, Coaldale, Hillside. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM MDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN FREMONT AND NORTHERN CUSTER COUNTIES...

At 626 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has fallen across 
the Hayden Pass burn scar. Up to two inches of rain have been 
estimated by radar and weaker thunderstorms will bring additional 
localized rainfall amounts of up to a quarter to half of an inch. 
Flash flooding is expected to continue.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow 
moving through the all of the drainages. The debris flow can consist 
of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.  The Arkansas 
River will continue to run high and out of banks where these creeks 
drain into the river.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Coaldale, and Hillside.
