The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Ellis County in central Kansas...

* Until 700 PM CDT

* At 302 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to 
  begin shortly. Radar indicates 2 to 4 inches of rain has fallen 
  across central Ellis county, mainly north of Yocemento and Hays. 
  Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches over the next hour will 
  exacerbate the flooding threat. 

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Hays, Ellis, Victoria, Catherine, Munjor, Emmeram, Yocemento,
  Toulon and Hays Regional Airport.

* Most flash flood fatalities occur in cars and trucks. Do not drive 
  through water of unknown depth.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM CDT FOR
CENTRAL ELLIS COUNTY...

At 354 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms were 
diminishing across central Ellis county. Additional rainfall will 
diminish over the next hour. Dangerous runoff will continue in 
streams, ditches and especially in urban concrete areas. 

Radar indicates 2 to 4 inches of rain have fallen across central 
Ellis county, including Hays and vicinity. 

Do not drive through water of unknown depth. 

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hays, Ellis, Victoria, Catherine, Munjor, Emmeram, Yocemento, Toulon
and Hays Regional Airport.
