THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS

* UNTIL 700 AM CDT

* AT 205 AM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED ANOTHER BATCH OF 
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH THROUGH MONTGOMERY 
COUNTY...AND PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL 
HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF PRODUCING RAINFALL RATES BETWEEN ONE AND TWO 
INCHES DURING THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. MORE ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS 
COULD FOLLOW SUIT THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. 

THIS AREA HAD EXPERIENCED FLOODING EARLIER THIS EVENING AND CAUSED 
NUMEROUS ROAD CLOSURES. RIGHT NOW...MOST OF THE PRIMARY ROADS HAD 
RECEDED...BUT THE SECONDARY ROADS REMAINED CLOSED. THIS NEXT ROUND 
OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL ONLY AGGREVATE THE SITUATION AND PRODUCE 
ADDITIONAL FLOODING.     

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING...OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS ROADS COVERED BY WATER.
