THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SUMNER COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS
  HARPER COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS

* UNTIL 1130 PM CDT

* AT 525 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS   
PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...MOVING EAST ACROSS HARPER AND SUMNER 
COUNTIES. RADAR HAS ESTIMATED 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAINFALL ACROSS MUCH 
OF SOUTHEASTERN HARPER COUNTY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE 
REPEATEDLY ACROSS THE SAME AREAS OF HARPER INTO SUMNER COUNTY 
THROUGH AT LEAST 8 PM. 

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...ROADS AND AREAS WITH POOR
DRAINAGE.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT... OR
OCCURRING. IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY. RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS... SHOULD TAKE
IMMEDIATE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
