THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  JOHNSTON COUNTY IN NORTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 1230 AM EDT

* AT 1023 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IN THE
  WARNED AREA.

  RAIN WILL CONTINUE ACROSS ALREADY FLOODED AREAS OF WESTERN AND
  CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE
  EAST AROUND 10 MPH. THESE STORMS ARE PRODUCING UP TO 2 INCHES OF
  ADDITIONAL RAIN PER HOUR.

  DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. YOU
  CANNOT SEE HOW MUCH WATER IS FLOWING ACROSS THE ROAD WITH LOW
  VISIBILITIES DUE TO RAIN AND NIGHT HOURS. THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF
  WEATHER RELATED FATALITIES IN NORTH CAROLINA IS FROM PEOPLE DRIVING
  THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.
