THE MIDLAND-ODESSA NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  BORDEN COUNTY IN TEXAS
  DAWSON COUNTY IN TEXAS

* UNTIL 500 PM CDT

* AT 155 PM CDT...THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO MOVE OVER NORTHERN DAWSON
  AND BORDEN COUNTIES...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.  SATELLITE AND 
  RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES OVER THE AREA RANGED FROM 1 TO 2 INCHES PER
  HOUR.  RAINFALL OVER PARTS OF DAWSON COUNTY SINCE MIDNIGHT OF OVER
  SIX INCHES WAS NOTED OVER CENTRAL DAWSON COUNTY.

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED BY THIS FLASH FLOOD WARNING INCLUDE...

STATE HIGHWAY 137 4-5 MILES NORTH OF LAMESA HAD WATER RUNNING OVER 
THE ROAD. SOME SECONDARY ROADS IN DAWSON COUNTY WERE UNDERWATER.

THE GROUND IN THIS AREA IS ALREADY SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS RAINS.  
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL ONLY MAKE MATTERS WORSE.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE 
ROADWAY...OR AROUND POLICE BARRICADES.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO 
GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING 
WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
