THE MIDLAND-ODESSA NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NORTHERN MIDLAND COUNTY IN TEXAS

* UNTIL 1230 AM CDT

* AT 928 PM CDT...A WEATHER SPOTTER REPORTED VERY HEAVY RAIN IN 
NORTHWEST MIDLAND COUNTY.  THE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING THESE RAINS 
WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.

* SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED BY THIS FLASH FLOOD WARNING INCLUDE...   
  MISSION DORADO...MIDLAND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...WARFIELD...  
  GREENWOOD...COTTON FLAT AND THE CITY OF MIDLAND 

THE GROUND IN THIS AREA IS ALREADY SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS RAINS.
THIS ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL ONLY MAKE MATTERS WORSE.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF CITY 
STREETS...SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...UNDERPASSES...LOW WATER 
CROSSINGS...AND NORMALLY DRY WASHES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT
QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO NOT 
STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
