THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 235 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO

   ...CHAVES COUNTY
 
AT 130 AM MDT DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN THE
ROSWELL AREA. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AROUND 20 MILES AN HOUR
ALONG HIGHWAY 380. THIS STORM HAS PRODUCED UP TO GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL
AND VERY HEAVY RAINS IN THE CITY OF ROSWELL.

OTHER STORMS WERE LOCATED IN NORTHCENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY AND WERE
MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEAST.

WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DO NOT USE TELEPHONES OR
