THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 135 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO

   ...SAN MIGUEL COUNTY
 
AT 1230 AM MDT A LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED
FROM NORTHWEST OF LAS VEGAS THROUGH SOUTHERN SAN MIGUEL COUNTY TO
NORTHEAST OF CONCHAS LAKE. INDIVIDUAL STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST
AROUND 15 MILES AN HOUR WHILE THE LINE CONTINUES TO DEVELOP
SOUTHWARD.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...
DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR
PROTECTION...MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR
HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DO NOT DRIVE
INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING... PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DO NOT USE TELEPHONES OR
