SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  615 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS
 
   ...COFFEY COUNTY
 
AT 520 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED 20
MILES SOUTHEAST OF EMPORIA...OR JUST NORTHWEST OF GRIDLEY.
 
THE STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH...AND THE STORM WILL
MOVE OVER JOHN REDMOND RESERVOIR...OTTUMWA...AND HALLS SUMMIT.
 
THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING BASEBALL SIZE HAIL AS IT MOVED
THROUGH GREENWOOD COUNTY.
 
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE TO A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
