THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A URBAN AND SMALL 
STREAM FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN 
THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
      ROWAN...GUILFORD...DAVIDSON

AT 1255 AM STREET AND HIGHWAY FLOODING WAS STILL BEING REPORTED ALL
AROUND ROWAN..DAVIDSON AND GUILFORD COUNTIES INCLUDING THE CITIES
OF SPENCER..GREENSBORO AND HIGH POINT.

WATER AS MUCH AS WAIST DEEP WAS BEING REPORTED IN LOW LYING AREAS
ON ROADWAYS WHERE DRAINAGE WAS POOR.  IN SMALL DIPS IN ROADWAYS
WATER A FOOT DEEP WAS COMMON IN MANY AREAS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
REMEMBER..MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.

 IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES..GO TO A SAFE PLACE IMMEDIATELY
 AND TAKE SHELTER.  ASK YOU LOCAL SHERIFF OR POLICE TO RELAY YOUR
 SEVERE WEATHER REPORT TO THE LOCAL0 NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE.
