- Flash Flood in American Samoa, May 19, 2003A flash flood occurred across Tutuila from Nuuuli Uta to Pago Pago many communities near mountains and valleys. The main stream in Pago Pago rapidly overflow and flooded many homes and businesses along the stream and all of lower Pago Pago.

- Flash Flood in American Samoa, November 27 to 29, 2015Tropical Cyclone Tuni produced heavy rainfall across American Samoa. During a 48 hour period, over 7.80 inches of rainfall were recorded at the Weather Service Office in Tafuna.

WSO Pago Pago recorded 16.33 inches of rain during these 5 days and 21.39 inches of rainfall was measured from Jan 04th through the 10th.
- Flash Flooding and Flooding in American Samoa, February 17 to 22, 2025From the evening of February 16th to the morning of February 22nd, a strong South Pacific Convergence Zone (SPCZ) moved over Tutuila, Aunu'u, and the Manu'a islands of American Samoa, bringing sustained heavy rainfall and high winds across the territory.
- Flash Flood and Coastal Flood in American Samoa, May 7 to 10, 2025From May 5th through May 9th, a ridge from the south of the islands interacted with an equatorial trough to the north. This created high winds on the 6th through the 8th with gusts reaching around 55 mph at WSO Pago Pago.
- Flash Flooding and Heavy Rain in American Samoa, May 18, 2026A strong high pressure system centered to the south of Fiji moved a trough from the south of American Samoa onto the territorial islands on May 16th through the 18th. This stationary weather pattern lead to over 9.68 inches of rain recorded at WFO American Samoa.
- Flash Flooding in American Samoa, March 24, 2025On March 24th, a trough moved over the American Samoa to produce slow moving showers and thunderstorms for the Tutuila, Aunu u, and Manu a islands. Back building thunderstorms occurred late in the morning and early afternoon hours over Tutuila Island.

WSO Pago Pago recorded 10.58 inches of rain throughout the six day span. Flash flooding occurred on numerous occasions.

There were multiple reports of homes being inundated from the flooding waters and caused delays to the Hawaiian Airlines flight to/from Honolulu.

This setup resulted in 6.26 inches of rainfall at WSO Pago Pago over a 48-hour period.
