KEY MESSAGES: - A Flood Watch remains in effect for the the Yellowstone River due to possible ice jams. - Temperatures remain well above normal through Sunday. - Temps cool to slightly above normal Monday onward due to a cold front with some precipitation possible Monday night/Tuesday. WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: An upper level ridge will remain in place through the end of the week. What this means is that temperatures are expected to be above normal along with dry conditions. However at the surface, a cold front will be moving southeast through northeast Montana later today turning the strong west winds to the NW and diminishing but remaining strong over Sheridan county with sustained speeds about 30 mph through the night. On Friday, surface high pressure will drop south into the northern Plains from central Canada allowing cold air to drop into Sheridan County, with warmer conditions over the SW zones. Saturday and Sunday, the upper ridge will move east across Montana as it weakens. This will allow for temps above normal with dry conditions. But an upper disturbance will drop in Monday from the NW allowing for cooler conditions with a small chance of snow, mainly south of the Missouri River through Tuesday night. Amounts should be less than an inch, except around an inch in the Little Rockies of southwest Phillips county. FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: With the cold frontal passage late today, winds were increased toward NBM90. No other adjustments were made. TFJ && .AVIATION...
