What happened

The episode as NWS SHV wrote it up.

Isolated severe thunderstorms developed and quickly intensified over parts of North Central and Northeast Louisiana on the afternoon of June 27th, along the southern flank and associated outflow of an MCV generated upstream by prior convection across Arkansas and Oklahoma. The air mass just downstream of these thunderstorms was extremely unstable and very moist, with upwards of 4000+ J/kg of instability present along and south of a weak frontal boundary. While low-level flow was more modest, mid-level north to northwesterly winds were between to 20-30 knots. This environment was sufficient for isolated severe thunderstorms to develop along the MCV circulation, leading to a few isolated damaging wind reports across parts of Union Parish and adjacent Ouachita Parish.
