The strongest winds were observed during the early afternoon of June 13 when law enforcement reported two tractor trailers were overturned as a result of the increased winds. Several stations in the Kern County Mountains and Mojave Desert Slopes measured peak gusts between 60 mph and 75 mph.

A few light showers are possible in the Sierra Nevada near Yosemite National Park this afternoon and this evening. There may be some upslope, light precipitation in the Kern County mountains tonight.
