An intensifying coastal low pressure system moved up the coast from North Carolina, crossing the benchmark (40 N/70 W) southeast of Nantucket. This storm brought strong to damaging winds to much of New England and produced minor coastal flooding along the east coast of Massachusetts.

A tree was downed onto a moving vehicle on Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester. No injuries were reported.
The Automated Surface Observation System at Barnstable Municipal Airport (KHYA) in Hyannis recorded sustained wind speeds of 39 mph and gusts to 57 mph. In addition, numerous amateur radio operators reported wind gusts from 44 mph to 61 mph. An amateur radio operator in Orleans reported sustained wind speeds of 41 mph.
In Mashpee, trees were down on Great Neck Road and Cotuit Road. Utility poles were snapped on Route 151. Trees were downed on Old Harbor Road, Main Street, Vineyard Avenue, Palmer Drive, and Bart Cliff Avenue in Chatham. In West Yarmouth, trees were downed onto wires on Marigold Road and South Sea Avenue at Route 28. A tree was downed onto Old County Road near Chase Road in Sandwich. In Falmouth, a tree and wires were downed onto Route 151 at Old Barnstable Road and on Allen Avenue. A tree was downed near the fire house on Meetinghouse Way in West Barnstable. A tree limb was downed onto a car on Route 6A. Trees were downed on Sandwich Road, Newton Road, and on Route 6 east between exits 5 and 6 in Barnstable. In Sagamore, wires were downed on Standish Road. Wires were downed on Chestnut Lane and on Turnpike Lane in Dennis. Three tree limbs were downed onto a car on Elm Street and Corporate Road. In Centerville, wires were downed on Beachville Road. A tree was downed onto Millstone Road in Brewster. In Orleans, a tree was downed blocking Brick Hill Road. A tree was downed across the road in Bells Neck in Harwich. In Yarmouth, a tree was downed on Wood Road and Route 28.
A Weatherflow mesonet site in Duxbury reported wind gusts of 59 mph. In Plymouth, a tree was downed onto a house on Court Street. Trees were downed on Russell Mills Road, Long Pond Road, Bourne Road, Ship Pond Road, and Rocky Hill Road. Trees, large branches and wires were downed in Marshfield, including on Presidential Circle, Ocean Street, and Preston Terrace. In Hingham, a large tree was downed onto primary wires, blocking Rockwood Road. A tree and wires were downed on Country Way in Scituate. In Duxbury, a tree and wires were downed on Brewster Street, Bay Road, Washington Street, and Summer Street.
Part of Atlantic Avenue in Hull was flooded and closed. In Marshfield, part of Ocean Street near the Esplanade was flooded. Also, streets in the Brant Rock section were flooded. The intersection of Jericho Road and Rebecca Drive in Scituate was closed due to flooding and ocean spray on the roadway. Also, Wompatuck Avenue, Kenneth Street, and Oceanside Drive were flooded and impassable. Debris blocked portions of Ocean Avenue. In Plymouth, a portion of Route 3A was closed due to flooding.
The Sesuit Harbor boat ramp parking lot and the Corporation Beach parking lot in Dennis were flooded. Water was coming over the sea wall at the Sandwich marina.
Easy Street was closed due to localized minor coastal flooding.
A tree and wires were downed onto Sandy Beach Lane in Cohasset. A tree limb was downed onto wires on Whitehead Road.
Jerusalem Road and Bow Street in Cohasset were flooded.
A tree was downed onto wires on West Mountain Road in Bernardston. In Shutesbury, a tree was downed onto wires on Cushman Road. A tree was downed onto Route 2 near the exit 14 on ramp to West River Street in Orange.
A tree was downed onto Ivy Street in Wareham.
A boat ran aground on the north side of Causeway Road on West Island. Another boat flipped upside down on North Cove on West Island. Power lines were downed onto Broad Street in Westport. In New Bedford, a tree fell onto the roof of the Campbell Elementary School on Essex Street.
In Carver a tree was downed blocking Federal Road. A tree was downed onto a car on West Union Street in East Bridgewater.
A tree and wires were downed onto Maple Street in Hatfield. In Granby, a tree was downed onto power lines on Amherst Street. A tree was downed onto wires on Route 9 in Belchertown. In Northampton, a tree was downed onto wires in the Florence section of town.
The Automated Surface Observation System at Nantucket Memorial Airport (KACK) recorded sustained wind speeds to 48 mph and wind gusts of 70 mph. No damage was reported.
A tree was downed onto Grape and Front Street in Chicopee. In Springfield, tree limbs were downed onto cars on several streets, including Montrose Street.
A tree was downed onto Cambridge Street in Burlington.
A large tree and wires were downed on General Knox Road.
