A band of heavy snow fell from northwest Iowa, into south central, and east central Minnesota, and portions of west central Wisconsin during the morning hours of Saturday, and quickly moved northeast into northeast Minnesota by the early evening.
There was a narrow band of 6 inches of snow that fell in western and northern Polk County, and also in northern Barron County, during the late morning and afternoon, before it switched over to a mixture of snow and rain.
