SAN DIEGO COAST AND IN THE VALLEYS REPORTED WIND GUSTS IN
EXCESS OF 50 MPH WITH THE PASSAGE OF A NARROW BAND OF
CONVECTION. NUMEROUS REPORTS OF TREE DAMAGE WERE
RECEIVED. A 58 YEAR OLD FEMALE WAS KILLED WHEN A 10 FOOT
DIAMETER TREE FELL ONTO HER MOBILE HOME AND TWO OTHER
MOBILE HOMES.

High winds began around 1052 PST and continued through 1254 PST. At 1952 PST, the Victorville ASOS reported a peak wind gust of 62 MPH. A CWOP station in Hesperia reported a peak gust of 61 MPH at 1254 PST.

High winds were measured by the Burns Canyon RAWS between 1151 and 1451 PST. Between 1251 and 1351 PST, a peak gust of 85 MPH was measured.

Snow began in the San Bernardino County mountains around 1200 PST. Spotters in Wrightwood, Forest Falls, and Blue Jay reported blizzard conditions throughout the day, with visibility near zero at times. Wind gusts in the area were around 40 MPH. By 1700 PST, Wrightwood had received twelve inches of snow. The snow finally ended around 2130 PST.

Snow began in the Riverside County mountains around 1230 PST. A trained spotter in Pine Cove reported that approximately 8 inches fell by 1700 PST, with an additional 1.5 inches falling through about 2330 PST.

A 40 inch diameter eucalyptus tree fell on the 400 block of Jasmine Street in Laguna Beach. The tree damaged a fence and gate opener between two houses. At Doheny State Beach, a eucalyptus tree fell on a camper shell. No injuries were reported with either event.

Heavy rain caused a 20 foot by 20 foot section of roof to collapse at an industrial building on Valley View St in La Palma around 1645 PST.

A band of convection moved through the San Diego County coastal areas between 1800 and 1900 PST. A clogged storm drain caused flooding at the intersection of Via de la Valle and Jimmy Durante Boulevard in Del Mar. Eight vehicles became trapped in the rapidly rising water, and eighteen people, including several children, had to be rescued by swift-water rescue teams and local lifeguards. There were no injuries.
