THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY A STORM SYSTEM IS INDICATED TO MOVE
THROUGH THE LOWER OHIO VALLEY. DEPENDING ON ITS TRACK IT COULD
RESULT IN ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA. IN ITS
WAKE MUCH COLDER AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA FOR THE WEEKEND.

Lake effect snow began during the early afternoon hours of the 28th. The snow intensified during the evening and overnight hours. By the morning of the 29th, snowfall amounts varied between 6 and 12 inches across interior Erie County. Franklin Center reported 11.1 inches of snow for this event, Colt Station and McKean reported 9.0 inches, and Amity received 6.0 inches.
