Bands of snow showers that formed along a surface trough caused about 2 to 4 inches of snow to accumulate across central New Jesrey. Snow began during the early evening on the 28th, but increased in intensity during the late evening on the 28th and into the first couple of hours of the 29th when most of the accumulation took place.

Bands of snow showers that formed along a surface trough caused about 2 to 4 inches of snow to accumulate across central New Jesrey. Snow began during the early evening on the 28th, but increased in intensity during the late evening on the 28th and into the first couple of hours of the 29th when most of the accumulation took place. On the morning of the 29th, some schools had delayed openings. Schools in Manahawkin (Ocean County) were closed. A second band of snow showers moved through Salem and Atlantic Counties where accumulations averaged one to two inches. Between those bands accumulations across the state were generally an inch or less.|Specific accumulations included 4.5 inches in Marlboro (Monmouth County), 3.6 inches in Cream Ridge (Monmouth County), 3.5 inches in Hightstown (Mercer County) and Toms River (Ocean County), 3.4 inches in Wrightstown (Burlington County), 3.2 inches in Wertsville (Hunterdon County), 3.0 inches in New Lisbon (Burlington County) and Manasquan (Monmouth County), 2.8 inches in Princeton (Mercer County), Southampton (Burlington County) and Neshanic (Somerset County), 2.7 inches in Manahawkin (Ocean County), 2.6 inches in Hillsborough (Somerset County), 2.1 inches in Pittsgrove (Salem County), 2.0 inches in Edison and South Brunswick (Middlesex County) and 1.5 inches in Blairstown (Warren County).
