Snow squalls and heavy snow showers developed along a southward moving arctic cold front in the Poconos during the morning of the 25th. Within this band of heavier snow, accumulations averaged 1 to 3 inches. Untreated roadways were hazardous. Specific accumulations included 2.8 inches in Tobyhanna (Monroe County) and 1.2 inches at the F.E. Walter Dam along the Carbon and Luzerne County border. More snow showers fell during the evening of the 25th, but were of lesser intensity than the morning snow showers.
