Lightning struck a power line, knocking out electricity to about 2200 customers. Gassville and Cotter were affected, as were parts of Mountain Home, Yellville, and Harrison.

Gusty winds from a thunderstorm broke off a large hickory tree near its base. The tree hit a house, breaking a sunroof and cracking the ceiling at the rear of the house.
