The strong northeast wind had a long trajectory over Lake of the Woods, which caused the most problems for the Warroad area. High waves and water levels at the mouth of the Warroad River significantly damaged the Warroad public dock.

High waves and water levels at the mouth of the Warroad River significantly damaged the Warroad public dock. Roof shingles and several small storage sheds were also damaged in town. A building under construction in Baudette was blown over.
