Strong bora winds developed in the wake of a passing storm system. Peak wind reports included: 84 mph (73 kts) at the National Wind Technology Center, 78 mph (68 kts) atop Blue Mountain in northern Jefferson County and 75 mph (65 kts), 6 miles north of Wellington.
