.SHORT TERM...
THE MAIN FOCUS WILL BE ON A STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW WHICH WILL
BE SLAMMING INTO SOUTHERN BC AND SWINGING A SHARP UPPER TROF THROUGH
THE PAC NW. ASSOCIATED FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BE MOVING ACROSS WESTERN
CANADA PULLING FRONTS ACROSS MONTANA LATE ON SUNDAY. MODELS CONTINUE
TO SLOW MOVEMENT OF FRONTS...NOW EXPECTING COLD FRONT ACROSS WESTERN
CWA AROUND 0Z. WARM TEMPERATURES AGAIN SUNDAY WITH COLD AIR
ADVECTION HOLDING OFF UNTIL NIGHTTIME. THREAT OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY WITH THE FRONT IN LATE AFTERNOON/EVENING TIME
FRAME.

UPPER TROF THEN SETTLES OVER WESTERN CONUS WITH A SERIES OF WAVES
ROTATING THROUGH. COOLER TEMPERATURES BUT A SLIGHT SPLIT IN THE TROF
WILL KEEP COLDEST TEMPERATURES NORTH OF BORDER. BEST THREAT FOR
PRECIP WILL BE ACROSS SOUTHERN MONTANA AS SHORTWAVES EJECT OUT OF
GREAT BASIN INTO NORTHERN PLAINS PUSHING SURFACE WAVES ALONG
STATIONARY FRONT THROUGH WYOMING. FIRST OF THESE WAVES DEVELOPS ON
MONDAY WITH HIGHEST MODELS QPF OVER SOUTHEAST ZONES ON MONDAY NIGHT.

.LONG TERM...
PATTERN CONTINUES ON WEDNESDAY WITH ANOTHER SURFACE WAVE SLIDING
ALONG FRONT AS ANOTHER SHORTWAVE DIVES INTO MEAN WESTERN UPPER TROF.
MODELS HAVE THIS WAVE FURTHER SOUTH FOR LOWER CHANCE OF PRECIP FOR
NORTHEAST MONTANA. THURSDAY LOOKS COLDER AS UPPER TROF BEGINS TO
MOVE EAST OPENING UP NORTHERN FLOW AND PUSHING POLAR FRONT INTO
MONTANA. TEMPERATURES RECOVER INTO THE WEEKEND AS THE TROF CONTINUES
EAST AND PACIFIC RIDGE BUILDS ACROSS WEST COAST.
