Winds of 45 knots (52 mph) were estimated over the northeastern slopes of the eastern Alaska Range. These winds were estimated to have occurred were based on a strong south to southeast pressure gradient that had developed ahead of an approaching occluded frontal boundary.

These winds were estimated to have occurred were based on a strong south to southeast pressure gradient that had developed ahead of an approaching occluded frontal boundary. High winds associated with this system were officially reported by the Healy weather observer where gusts also reached 45 knots (52 mph).
