A BIT OF A DIRTY RIDGE OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST THIS SHORT TERM.
THERE IS A SERIES OF WEAK IMPULSES THAT WILL TRACK THROUGH THE UPPER
FLOW. THE STRONGEST OF WHICH IS PROGGED OVER THE AREA LATE THIS
AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT. MAIN INFLUENCE FROM THIS AND OTHER IMPULSES
WILL BE OCCASIONAL BAND OF CLOUDS. HOWEVER...A BRIEF LIGHT SHOWER
IS POSSIBLE...MAINLY OVER THE EAST SLOPES OF THE WASHINGTON
CASCADES...LESS OF A CHANCE OVER THE NORTHERN BLUES. UNDER THE HIGH
PRESSURE RIDGE...AN INVERSION WILL ONCE AGAIN BEGIN TO DEVELOP.
HOWEVER...THE LAST WAS SCOURED OUT WELL AND WITH DAYS SLOWLY
LENGTHENING...EXPECT IT TO TAKE A COUPLE OF DAYS OF GOOD SUBSIDENCE
OVER THE AREA BEFORE FOG AND LOW CLOUDS START TO REFORM.
EXTENDED...UPPER RIDGE WILL KEEP THINGS DRY ON THURSDAY. A SERIES
OF DISTURBANCES WILL MOVE ACROSS THE REGION...DAMPENING THE RIDGE AND
ALLOW FOR A CHANCE OF PRECIP THROUGH THE REST OF THE PERIOD.

High winds along with heavy frost resulted in power lines shorting out, causing two power outages during the morning. At 6:30 am, 169 residences in Bickleton lost power for 2 1/2 hours. At 9 am, 10 miles further southwest, 209 customers near Cleveland lost power for 5 hours.
