The Warning was cancelled at 1547 PST on 11/19/01.Cape Arago verified the warning with every observation except one between 1000 PST and 1500 PST on 11/19. Max sustained speed: 42 mph. Peak gust: 82 mph. Cape Blanco also verified the warning with every observation except one between 0800 PST and 1400 PST on 11/19. Max sustained speed: 51 mph. Peak gust: 75 mph.Gold Beach verified the warning with a gust to 67 mph.Two coastal spotters reported numerous downed trees along US 101.

THE FIRST OF A SERIES OF STORM SYSTEMS THIS WEEK HAS REACHED THE
COAST OF OREGON. THE AVN TIME SECTION INDICATES THERE WILL BE
RELATIVELY DRY PERIODS BETWEEN SYSTEMS TUESDAY...WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY MORNINGS FOR THE REGION BETWEEN THE COAST RANGE AND THE
CASCADES. THE BREAKS WILL BE SHORT TO NON EXISTANT AT THE COAST WHILE
EAST OF THE CASCADES THEY WILL BE LONGER.
IT WILL BECOME QUITE WINDY WITH THIS FIRST SYSTEM AS A 987MB SURFACE
LOW MOVES EAST OF 130W BY MID DAY TODAY. THIS WILL CAUSE VERY WINDY
CONDITIONS AT THE HEADLANDS. THE POSITION OF THE LOW WILL OREINT THE
WINDS BELOW 700MB TO FAVOR VERY WINDY CONDITIONS IN THE SHASTA VALLEY
AND WINDY CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTHEAST HALF OF THE ROGUE VALLEY. THE
MOUNTAINS WILL BE WINDY AS WELL BUT WILL NOT MEET WARNING CRITERIA.
THE SURFACE LOW TUESDAY WILL BE DEEPER BUT MUCH FURTHER AWAY. CAPE
BLANCO MIGHT BLOW OVER 40 MPH BUT WINDS WILL BE PERHAPS 3/4THS OF
TODAYS SYSTEM OVER THE REST OF THE FORECAST AREA.
THE SYSTEM WEDNESDAY WILL BE SIMULAR TO TUESDAYS BUT THE LOW WILL BE
SLIGHTLY WEAKER.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY STRONG JET DYNAMICS IS ZONAL FLOW WILL CONTINUE
THE RAIN WITH THE SNOW LEVEL LOWERING TO ABOUT 5000 FT.
SATURDAY THE MAIN TROUGH COMES THROUGH WITH THE SNOW LEVEL DOWN TO
PERHAPS 3000 FT.
SUNDAY A RIDGE BUILDS IN IF THE MRF CAN BE TRUSTED IN THIS FAST
CHANGING PATTERN.
