HAVE UPDATED ZONES AGAIN TO REFLECT A SOONER START TO THE WINTER STORM
WARNING IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING.  DUE TO THE SNOWFALL RATES OF ALMOST AN
INCH PER HOUR IN KCYS IN THE CONVECTIVE SNOW BANDS MOVING NORTH FROM
COLORADO HAVE MADE THE WARNING START AT MIDNIGHT.  ALREADY KCYS HAS
ABOUT 3 INCHES OF SNOW ON THE GROUND...BUT NOTHING YET AT PINE BLUFFS
OR WHEATLAND.  WITH THIS PATTERN SIMILAR TO THAT OF 10 DAYS AGO...WITH
AN EVEN MORE NORTH TRACK OF THE SURFACE LOW...BELIEVE THAT A WINTER
STORM WARNING IS PROBABLY NEEDED FOR MUCH OF THE WESTERN NEBRASKA
PANHANDLE SUNDAY.  00Z RUN OF THE ETA CONTINUES TO SLOW THE NORTHEAST
MOVEMENT OF THE UPPER AND SURFACE LOWS THROUGH SUNDAY...BUT QPF
CONTINUES TO DROP SOME.  WILL LET THE MID SHIFT GO WITH THE ANY NEEDED

The second winter storm in 11 days struck much of the Nebraska Panhandle, particularly oversouthern sections, producing around 5 to 11 inches of snow. Nearly a foot of snow fell in the Kimball,NE, area, with around 8 inches in Scottsbluff, NE. All roads in Scotts Bluff county were closed, aswas Interstate 80 in the southern panhandle. Some power outages were reported as well.
