A cold winter storm produced snow as low as 2500 feet with Colfax reporting a 1/2 inch. Higher elevations of the coastal range and Southern Cascades reported accumulations up to two feet. Across the Northern Sierra Nevada, accumulations up to three feet combining with strong winds produced white out conditions. Interstate 80 was temporarily closed Thursday morning.
