SYNOPSIS...A VIGOROUS UPPER LOW AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL MOVE
THROUGH SOUTH CENTRAL NEVADA TONIGHT AND INTO SOUTHERN NEVADA AND
NORTHWEST ARIZONA WEDNESDAY. STRONG GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL
CONTINUE ACROSS MUCH OF THE MOJAVE DESERT TONIGHT FOLLOWED BY MUCH
COOLER AIR AND A CHANCE OF SHOWERS SPREADING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH
TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. MILDER WEATHER WILL BRIEFLY RETURN THURSDAY
AS THE COLD FRONT MOVES EAST BUT AN UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN IS
FORECAST TO BECOME REESTABLISHED OVER THE WESTERN US THIS WEEKEND.

ADVISORY FOR MOST OF THE MOJAVE DESERT IS VERIFYING WELL WITH
SEVERAL SITES REPORTING GUSTS IN THE 45-55 MPH RANGE. WATER VAPOR
IMAGERY INDICATES VORTICITY CENTER APPROACHING CIC...VERY CLOSE TO
THE ETA FORECAST TRACK. CLOUD COVER AND SNOWFALL IN NORTHERN NEVADA
CURRENTLY ASSOCD MOSTLY WITH LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE BUT UPPER LEVEL
FORCING IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD LOW LEVEL BAROCLINIC BAND TONIGHT
RESULTING IN DEEP-LAYERED LIFT AND MORE WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION BY
EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL TO AT LEAST 3500 FEET
OVER SOUTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHWEST ARIZONA OVERNIGHT AND TO ABOUT
2500 FEET BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT. UNFORTUNATELY THE PRECIP WILL BE OVER
FOR SOUTHERN NEVADA BY THAT TIME SO LAS VEGAS WILL NOT SEE SNOW
UNLESS SOME CONVECTION DEVELOPS. THATS NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION BUT
THE 12Z GUIDANCE IS NOT AS BULLISH ON THE INSTABILITY AS THE 06Z ETA
RUN WAS. 06Z ETA ALSO INTIALIZED THE OFFSHORE PRECIPITABLE WATER TOO
HIGH AS COMPARED TO GOES PW IMAGERY. NEWER RUN SEEMS TO HAVE THAT
DATA ASSIMILATED MORE REASONABLY SO YESTERDAYS OUOTLOOK OF HIGH POP
BUT LOW QPF STILL LOOKS GOOD.    RUNK
