A wildfire, related to a prescribed burn originally set June 15th, began late Monday. The fire grew from 100 acres to 800 acres, outside the original 1,100 acre controlled burn, Tuesday. Campers at the Trail River Campground were evacuated at 1 am Tuesday. Alaska State Troopers knocked on doors later Tuesday in the communities of Crown Point, Lawing and Moose Pass, warning residents to have their bags packed in case they needed to evacuate.
