A winter storm system, followed by lake effect snow showers resulted in new snowfall of 5 to 7 inches over parts of north central Wisconsin. The greatest snowfall total was 7.0 inches 5 miles southwest of Boulder Junction (Vilas co.). Rhinelander (Oneida co.) had 6.0 inches of new snow and 5.5 inches of new snow fell 9 miles west of Land O Lakes (Vilas co.).
