The drought begun over the southwest sections of South Central Texas became widespread by March across the western sections as well. With little or no rainfall, lake levels continued to fall and agricultural interests cut back plans for cattle and for planting.

The drought begun over the southwest sections of South Central Texas became widespread by March across the western sections as well. With little or no rainfall, lake levels continued to fall and agricultural interests cut back plans for cattle and for planting. Flow was noted as reduced across numerous small streams and creeks in the area.
